Finding the right therapist is important. I approach therapy in a warm, relational way and believe that confidentiality and non-judgement are crucial to creating a safe and trusted space. It can be hard to open up and start the process so I make sure my clients feel comfortable when it comes time to talk about the hard things. If you are going through a transition, want or need to process past traumatic experiences, experiencing depression or anxiety, or struggling with family/child/adolescent problems- please reach out.
I am client-centered, open minded and believe we need to work as a team towards your goals. Sometimes we focus on getting solutions to problems and other times we may work on fully experiencing acceptance to how things have turned out. Treatment modalities that are used include Attachment theory, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Mindfulness, Humanistic therapies and Family Systems to assist with resolving conflicts, increasing stability and creating a positive identity. In addition, I also am an EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) practitioner to assist with working through past traumatic experiences.
With compassion and understanding, part of my goal with each individual to help them build on their strengths and work towards a connection to the authentic self in order to attain personal growth and freedom. If you are considering therapy, let's talk and see if I'm the right fit for you. I am happy to share more about myself and answer your questions.
